Overview

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:  Other duties may be assigned. 

Performs cycle counts.
Weighs small parts in order to count and distribute into kits. 
Stores articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to stock tags. 
Issues door tags as required. 
Distributes stock to production workers, keeping records of material issued. 
Reads and follows SP0009 Picker Note instructions. 
Issues material from pre-built stock inventory when possible.
 Issues newly arrived components for critical parts shortages when possible. 
Performs daily cycle count of selected stock items and compares to computer stock records. 
Resolves discrepancies as required. 
Maintains inventory and other stock records in computer and prints reports. 
Responsible for neatness of stockroom, following ‘first in, first out’ procedures, and maintenance of stock locations to accommodate changes, additions and deletions.
Moves or transports materials to other departments.   

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES  Requires knowledge typically acquired through

Completion of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED),
Three months to two years of related experience or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. CRT experience and experience with scales. 
May be required to operate forklift and pallet jack. 
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. 
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.   
Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. 
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
