We are looking for a Researcher (Livestock –Environment)
SEBI-Livestock is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable candidate for the post of Researcher – Livestock and the Environment to provide support in building our evidence base on livestock production and the environment. The post holder will carry out desk-based research on the interactions between livestock health and productivity and the environment in low and middle income countries (LMICs) thus contributing to SEBI’s evidence base on this topic and on livestock productivity generally in LMICs.
The Opportunity:
Working with SEBI team colleagues, you will develop and implement a plan to collect and curate a comprehensive database of livestock environment interactions; leading to the development of environmental metrics (indicators) that will be applied to livestock related international development projects. Also to produce systematic reviews, incorporating algorithmic approaches to evidence collection, on the contribution of livestock to environmental change.
Your skills and attributes for success:
First degree in biological science.
Postgraduate degree in livestock production / health / economics.
Deep understanding of livestock health and productivity issues in LMICs.
Deep understanding of livestock –environment interactions.
Enthusiastic self-motivator, able to work in a hybrid pappern.
