Accurately and efficiently process technical parts orders to help ensure store equipment is operational and producing high quality beverages. As a Materials Handling Rep I , you will…

 


  • Performs daily shipping and receiving operations in a small, but fast paced warehouse. 

  • Accomplishes regular inventory counts and reconciliations. 

  • Ensures the warehouse is an organized, efficient, clean, and professional environment. 

  • Performs other duties as needed in support of business objectives and Starbucks Mission & Values.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

 


  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

  • Performs monthly inventory counts and reconciliations. Communicates inventory discrepancies to manager. Tracks and maintains documentation of individual orders and shipping information. Enters data and maintains shipping address database.

  • Receives all incoming parts. Matches quantities and parts numbers with purchase orders. Examines incoming parts to verify their quality. Organizes and maintains warehouse and loading dock areas.

  • Reviews work orders. Pulls correct parts from inventory and packages them for shipment. Ensures orders are completed in time to meet scheduled shipping dates.

    • (Relevant experience in similar industry) Warehousing experience – especially small batch hand processing. 

    • Strong customer service 

    • Ability to work well in a diverse team environment and be open to feedback. 

    • Attention to detail. 

    • Education: High school diploma/GED, US military service, trade school, technical college

    • Skills (minimum skills required):
      o Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
      o Attention to detail
      o Ability to understand written and verbal policies and guidelines, specifications and safety standards
      o Basic math skills
      o Basic computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
      o Problem solving skills and a proactive approach
      o Ability to follow verbal direction
      o Familiarity with computerized inventory and order selection systems
      o Flexibility to work overtime as required, even on short notice
      o Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
      o Organizational skils.

Requirements

- Bending/Twisting: Continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine.

- Carrying: Moving an object, usually by holding it in hands or arms, or on shoulders.

- Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet and legs, and hands and arms.

- Computer: Usage or other special equipment operated.

- Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise performing precision work with hand or hands.

- Hearing: Receiving detailed information through oral communication.

- Kneeling: Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee(s).

- Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another using hands, arms and shoulders, back and legs. - up to 40 lbs.

- Pushing/Pulling: Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves away from or toward the force.

- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

- Sitting: Remaining in the normal seated position.

- Standing/Walking: Remaining on one's feet in an upright position at a workstation or moving about a work area.
