- Conduct regular surveillance and monitoring of Costco Wholesale locations to detect and prevent theft, fraud, and other security risks.
- Collaborate with store management and other Loss Prevention team members to develop and implement strategies to mitigate risk and reduce loss.
- Investigate and report any suspicious or fraudulent activities to management and law enforcement when necessary.
- Monitor and review security footage to identify potential threats and provide evidence for investigations.
- Conduct audits of cash handling procedures and inventory to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Train and educate employees on loss prevention protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all incidents and investigations.
- Conduct thorough and timely investigations of employee and member complaints and concerns related to loss prevention.
- Collaborate with external partners, such as law enforcement and security agencies, to support investigations and prevent future incidents.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in loss prevention and make recommendations for improvement to management.
- Ensure compliance with all company and legal policies and regulations related to loss prevention.
- Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain a professional and customer service-oriented approach when interacting with employees and members.
- Execute any other tasks or duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications
- Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills
- High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education
- Previous Experience In A Retail Or Security-Related Role Preferred
- Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Identify Potential Risks Or Losses
- Familiarity With Security Systems And Procedures, Such As Cctv Monitoring And Inventory Control.
