- Conduct regular audits of inventory and cash handling procedures to identify potential areas of loss or theft.
- Monitor surveillance footage and investigate any suspicious activities or incidents.
- Collaborate with store management and team members to develop and implement loss prevention strategies.
- Train and educate staff on loss prevention policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all loss prevention incidents and investigations.
- Conduct internal investigations as needed and report findings to appropriate parties.
- Review and analyze data to identify trends and patterns of loss and develop proactive prevention strategies.
- Conduct physical security checks of the store to ensure all safety protocols are being followed.
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to safety and loss prevention.
- Communicate with law enforcement and other external partners to assist in the resolution of incidents.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments in loss prevention strategies.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to loss prevention.
- Respond to emergencies and security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct regular training and drills to ensure preparedness for potential security threats.
- Continuously evaluate and improve loss prevention processes and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with any security-related inquiries or concerns.

Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Loss Prevention Clerk Job At Costco Wholesale Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures Basic Knowledge And Understanding Of Various Security Protocols.
- Relevant Experience: Previous Experience In A Loss Prevention Or Security-Related Role Is Highly Preferred For This Position. This Includes Experience With Cctv Monitoring, Inventory Control, And Theft Prevention.
- Strong Communication Skills: A Loss Prevention Clerk Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Customers, Employees, And Law Enforcement Personnel. This Includes The Ability To Write Detailed Reports And Give Clear Instructions.
- Attention To Detail: The Ability To Pay Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Identifying Potential Security Threats And Preventing Loss. A Loss Prevention Clerk Must Be Observant And Able To Spot Suspicious Behaviors Or Activities.
