Applications are invited to the position of full time Lecturer, within the Agriculture and Business Management Department of SRUC based at our Barony Campus near Dumfries. The successful candidate will be a member of the Agriculture Programme Management Team in Barony and be managed by the Agriculture Programme Leader.

Scope of the Post:

1. Teaching of general Agriculture to NC to HNC Agriculture initially, with subsequent delivery to BSc Agriculture groups as time progresses. Specifically, this will entail:

• Delivery of modules – teaching and assessment and collation of results
• Preparation of teaching and learning materials including those required for flexible and blended learning
• Associated CPD

2. Co-ordination of practical/field visits within the Agriculture programme

• Work with the programme Leader to continue to develop farm partnerships to deliver the practical content of the course
• Plan and deliver farm practical

3. Member of Programme Management Team (PMT), Barony

• Attendance at PMT Meetings
• Attendance at Student Liaison Group (SLG) meetings
• Other relevant programme management duties as directed by Programme Leader

4. Contribute to student recruitment activity in Barony.

• Attendance at, and contribution to, the planning and running of open days, taster days, and other careers events and marketing initiatives particularly, but not exclusively, related to the Agriculture programme
