About the position

At Disney Experiences (DX) Tech & Digital, we are dedicated to creating world-class immersive digital experiences for our premier vacation brands. Our team is responsible for delivering exceptional experiences to consumers through Disney's Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Lines, and Disney Vacation Club. We oversee the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology and digitally led initiatives across various lines of business, including Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise. This role is situated within the JedAI Platform team, reporting to the Sr Manager of AI Engagement. As an expert in Generative AI, particularly in the emerging field of Prompt Engineering, you will play a crucial role in designing and iterating Generative AI prompts and fostering this skill across the organization. In this position, you will be tasked with designing, developing, and refining prompts for various Generative AI applications, which include text generation, translation, question answering, code completion, and creative writing.

You will collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to understand user requirements and translate them into effective prompts. Your role will involve experimenting with different prompt techniques, such as framing, instructions, and examples, to optimize model performance and achieve desired outputs.

You will evaluate and analyze the outputs generated by AI models, refining prompts iteratively to ensure the best possible results. Staying current with the latest advancements in prompt engineering research and best practices will be essential. You will document prompts and share knowledge effectively within the team, conduct extensive research to identify relevant data sources for prompt development, and lead and mentor a team of prompt engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Establishing and implementing best practices, standards, and workflows for prompt engineering within the squad will be a key responsibility. Additionally, you will develop and maintain a prompt library or repository for reuse and knowledge sharing, collaborate with other teams to integrate prompt engineering into the broader AI/ML pipeline, and manage project timelines and resources to ensure prompt engineering deliverables are met on schedule.

Representing the prompt engineering team in cross-functional meetings and strategic discussions, as well as developing and delivering training sessions on prompt engineering techniques for the wider organization, will also be part of your role.
