- Oversee the transportation and distribution processes for all products at Costco Wholesale.
- Develop and maintain relationships with transportation and distribution partners to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products.
- Monitor and analyze transportation and distribution costs and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations related to transportation and distribution.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness of transportation and distribution processes.
- Manage and supervise a team of logistics coordinators and staff members.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and training to team members.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of transportation and distribution activities.
- Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing, inventory management, and sales to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Troubleshoot any transportation or distribution issues and provide timely solutions.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Continuously monitor industry trends and make recommendations for improvements or changes to current processes.
- Communicate with warehouse and store managers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and addressing any concerns or issues in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, at all times.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Logistics, Or A Related Field.
- Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Employees.
- Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Logistics And Supply Chain Management.
- Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Abilities.
- Knowledge Of Warehouse Management Systems And Other Logistics Software.
